Counting your blessings

Hi folks, it's me AGAIN. Sorry, but I felt I had to write this.

I'm in the middle of cleaning the bathroom but had to stop. For days I have had in my head, and can't get it out, this song.
"To God be the glory, To God Be the glory, To God be the glory for the things He has done."
You probably, like me have those days when you feel a bit down, not as chirpy, struggling with motivation, a bit fed up, etc. etc.
Often people say ,'there are other people worse off,' or 'look on the bright side,' or ' what have you got to grumble about?' Just sayings! Or maybe they say 'Count your blessings,'
Well it's made me do just that. " Count your blessings, name them one by one, and it will surprise you what The Lord has done." What the Lord has done for me and for you.
When we do that we realise just what we have and what has been done for us. In so many ways He supplies our need, in amazing ways and in small, yet important ways. For the times He has put someone or something across our path just when we needed it. For the things He makes happen for us that we just take for granted. And so, so much more.
For me, putting this song in my head, which I have sung many times, but is suddenly really waking me up to what The Lord has done for me.
So, "To God be the glory, to God be the glory, to God be the glory for the things He has done,"
And for the things He has enabled us to do and to continue to do." To His Glory!

Irene
