Lord, today you really got my attention. There were clearly things I needed to hear. I've been thinking a lot about the future - my future. What do I want or not want.
Thinking about it , there have been many times, I'm sure, that I've made the mistake of doing what I want, then expecting You to bless It. Please forgive me. Instead I want to ask You what You want me to do, knowing that when I do YOUR will, You will bless me. Enable me to hear Your voice and trust Your leading. I want it said of me when I leave this earth and go to be with You, that, "I walked with God. " I want it said that " You were seen in my life." So I trust my future to You, knowing You have it safely in your hands.
But, Lord, my prayer is not all about me. I pray for my family, church family, friends and all who I come in contact with. I pray that this will be their prayer too.
And Lord, I pray for those people of which there seems many, who don't feel that they have a future, or don't want the future that they see before them.
O God, so many people see their future as pain and anguish, hunger and starvation, homeless, wandering and forgotten. How our hearts go out to them. Show us what you require of us.
O God, when we see and hear of the issues so many people have in their lives, we need to be more thankful for our lives, all that we have been given and need to appreciate. Lord make us humble and grateful people.
Father God, Your word says,". Be anxious about nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.; and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Lord, we humbly bring our requests to you today, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave everything He had for us. Amen
Psalm 139 v 3
When I pray You answer me, You encourage me by giving me the strength I need.
Lord, we thank you that when we humbly seek your face You renew our strength to overcome the challenges of our lives.
We thank You that You work out the plans for our lives, and You never fail us.
We thank You that we can walk each moment with You, and not have to figure out our lives on our own. In the dark time we can put our hand in Yours and walk through it together.
Thank You that You bring us healing, deliverance, love, peace, joy and hope.
Lord, help us to acknowledge the abundance of Your goodness to us. Open our eyes to see all that You have done for us.
Thank You for joy in Your presence. Amen.
