16th April
Heavenly Father,
thank you for this day,. Thank you, that in the midst of all the pain, the suffering, the loss, the tears, the devastation, we see YOU. We see you in the caring of and for others, the comfort when all feels lost, people bringing love and hope and practical solutions to those in so much need. Thank you that we can see your loving kindness in the deeds of others. Lord, help us to grow that part of us that is made in your image. Lord, thank you for the joy of your handiwork that we have seen this day. The beautiful sunshine, blue skies, the growth of plants, trees and flowers around us. Thank you too for the butterflies, the bees, and the lovely bird song that we hear. And thank you that, as evening came, the sun set so awesomely, and still the birds sang. Thank you for the joy that all this brings to us.
O God, for all those in pain, worried, bereaved, fearful and desperate at this time, please bring your comfort, your healing and peace to their hearts and minds. Help them to know that you are there and are reaching out to them.
Amen.

10th April Text For Today
Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into songs O mountains! For the Lord comforts His people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. Isaiah 49 : 13. Praise God.
Prayer - My Father
Our Father, we come to you today rejoicing that you are our God, our Father, our Saviour, our Hope, our Future, our Everything. Our whole lives are in you Lord, in your loving, caring hands. What or who can separate us from that perfect love! You are our hope, you are our strength, you are our joy, you are our peace. Thank you,for accepting us as we are, very often not the people you want us to be. You seek to change us because of your great love for us, to give us a future,a life of freedom in you. Thank You Father,! Heavenly Father, you know the difficulties of our lives at this time. You know our weaknesses, but you show us how to build on our strengths. You, Father, above anyone, know the depth of pain, suffering and rejection that there is in your beautiful world; and so we pray your hand of peace, strength, comfort, indeed all that is needed by those seeking to serve you and proclaim your gospel in this troubled world. You Father, know the tremendous and horrendous difficulties that many people face. During this week particularly, may your familiar voice speak comfort and courage to them, may they take strength as they walk with you on your journey to the cross, may they take strength from your steadfastness and your resolve, your willingness to face what was to come. Father, may we all take on that strength, that courage, that hope for the future, as we journey with you. May we stand firm as we recognise the greatest gift you have given to us, and as we think about the real agonies of this week, and a cruel, cruel death on a cross. May our love for you and our service to you, grow and grow and grow. Amen
May the Lord Bless you and keep you. Irene
6th April Thought For Today and Prayer
A thought for today.
The God of Israel gives strength and power to His people. Psalm 68 : 35
Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank you that we know that when we call on you, you are there. You listen, you hear.
We thank you for your promise that you are there by our side in any given situation, you promise never to leave us alone.
Thank you that you delivered us out of darkness to freedom, our hope in you of a new life. You have given us a love greater than life, a hope strong than anything. Thank You Jesus.
When we wake we know that you re with us. When we are weak we know that you are strong. When we fall your arm is there to lean on. Lord, stir us to have a heart like yours. Give us a faith to move in works of power. Show us what is in your heart and what you want us to do. O God, we pray you in our living, in our very breathing, in our waking, in our sleeping, in our resting, in our thinking, in our speaking. God, be our everything.
God of mercy, hear our cry for all those in need. Turn your hand today, bring relief from pain, be their comfort, give your people peace from their fears, be their hope Lord. As you give breath, give strength to live. Lord, be close to those with weary bodies, be their light and guide. Father, sometimes we do not know what to ask for, sometimes we do not know what to say, or even what to pray. But, we know that you are watching over. Give us the love, care and compassion in our desire to help those in need. Lord, thank you for your faithfulness.
Lord, may the words of our mouths and the thoughts of our hearts Bless Your Name. May our deeds of the day…, and the truth if our ways, speak of you. May we live a life of love that pleases You Amen.
And now some words for Easter.
Imagine
Can you imagine the anguish and pain as they nailed Him to that tree?
Can you imagine the sweat and tears as He suffered for you and me?
Can you imagine the blood on His face from the thorns pressed deep in His brow?
Can you imagine yourself standing there? Try it …………Imagine it now
Imagine the nails tearing into His hands, ripping the sinews apart.
Imagine the nails tearing into His feet, and the agony felt in His heart.
Imagine the thorns tearing into His brow , and the blood running inti His eyes.
Imagine the torture He went through that day, to redeem our sin sickened lives.
Can you imagine all that was done, that day so ling ago?
Can you imagine the hearts He has won, because He let His blood floe?
Can you imagine what it must have been like to stand and watch Him die?
The Lord Bless you and keep you as you prepare for this Easter time.
