Message sent from Irene

Hi folks, it's me again. I've just come in from the garden for a brew and a break, when I got a message I just had to write. I looked at my Every Day With Jesus, and there was the same message. So, here goes. We talk about it, read about it, sing about it, ask God to do something about it.
The word is REVIVAL. Starts with me, starts with you!  Where do we start?

Well, we have to go to God's word. Jeremiah 33 v 1 - 3." Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." There we find God and He finds us.
I read these words," REVIVAL is God's extraordinary work most certainly, yet REVIVAlL has  it's roots in the desires and choices I  and my sisters and brothers, make. These reach well beyond the walls of the Church.

We read in Acts 1v 1 - 8, " But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." That means Rossendale, our homes, our streets, our place of work, our Church, etc.
We have to remind ourselves that we live to love and serve God.
If you are anything like me you'll find that you get sidetracked with other aspirations and desires. The most important thing is in having an encounter with God in prayer.

We need the power of God upon us as those early disciples did. They were weak and frightened, they ran away, but the Holy Spirit  was poured out upon them. They realised that they had not been left alone and helpless. They were anointed to live their lives for the Lord. We need to get that message too, to realise our peace and joy is in His service, and our place will then be with Him  eternally. We need to pray for continued outpouring of the Holy Spirit to be witnesses of God's power  and presence in our lives.
It starts in prayer, individually and collectively, praying with and for each other, for His will to be done on earth as in heaven. The first disciples turned the world upside down. What will we be remembered for?

2 Chronicles7 v 11 - 18 " If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways then  I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sins and will heal their land,"
Psalm 85 v 6. " will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you."
