NEEDING FAITH
Faithful God, faithful and true are all your ways, always the same,younever change. Your love for me will never change or fade away. Even in my hour of deepest need. You're always there to walk with me. You know my words before I speak them. Lord I know you will never forsake me, and your love will never fade away
O God, we want to come to you today to thank you for your faithfulness. You are our amazing God and Father.
Help us to understand that you know best, and everything you do is motivated by your loving heart.
Lord we need to build a faith that rests, on your constant love and goodness, that stands no matter what we have to face, or whatever happens.
Thank you that you have promised to be our ' ever present help' in trouble.
Father, help us to understand that when we walk down difficult pathways, You encourage us to put our spiritual roots deep down into you, so that in stormy times we will be unmoved.
Father God, forgive us if we respond to life's difficulties with resentment, please help us to trust You. It's so easy to depend on the things of this world, and when they fail us where are we!
Lord, God we are reminded that no matter what happens in life, we have a choice, to trust you, or try to find things to sustain us, we need our choice to always be You.
Jeremiah says, 'cursed in the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh.' O Lord, let that not be so. Let our dependence be on you.
To depend on you means we have to put our roots deep down in you, to draw the Living Water we need.
Help us to be responsive, not complaining or showing resentment, and an inability to show forgiveness, but to have that deep trust in You, in all the situations of our lives.
Lord, more than ever in these days we need You, to be as close to You we can feel your breath upon us and your arms around us. Lord, you've been so faithful to me in my life, picking me up, forgiving and restoring me, when I didn't deserve it. Thank You that as I look back over the years, You have been so full of grace and generosity. You have made good things out of bad, turned sorrows to joy, made a purpose in life.
Thank You that You have allowed me to have, and to be, more than I could hope for, or deserve.
THANK YOU THAT UNDERNEATH ARE THE EVERLASTING ARMS. Amen.
